The gameboard depicts the kingdom of Camelot, which the invading Saxons threaten. Here knights can also travel through the surrounding countryside scouring for precious artifacts needed to complete the quests of Camelot.
To achieve victory, players must complete seven more difficult quests as the game progresses. Players are also challenged by the ever-changing combination of obstacles, such as the Saxons and betrayals from among their ranks.
Dragons randomly appear on the board, threatening to hinder progress toward the quests. The knights must join forces to defeat these fierce creatures and guard the Round Table against destruction.
Rewards are granted to the knights who have contributed the most to the mission, such as a chance to recruit legendary heroes and equipment to aid in their quest.
As the game progresses, players are presented with additional twists, such as the sudden appearance of a dragon to the disappearance of valuable resources. This keeps the game fresh and unpredictable.
